The CRA clears up some common tax myths

There are a number of misleading statements and myths about Canada’s tax laws out there. It is important that you know which ones are true and which ones are not, as misunderstandings about tax laws may cause you to expose yourself to legal problems if you fail to comply with the Income Tax Act and other tax laws. The CRA addresses some of them on its website to help you understand the truth about taxes.
